Ans – The four options in which you can fill the background of a slide are: Soild fill, Gradient fill, Picture or texture fill and Pattern fill.  

 

4. Name the four categories of animation effect that can applied on the objects of the slide.

Ans – There are four categories of animation effects: Entrance Effect, Exit Effect, Emphasis Effect, Motion Path Effect.

 

5. What is a theme?

Ans – A theme is a set of background designs, font style and layout for the slide.

 

E. Answer in detail.

1. How will you apply transition effect on the slide?

Ans – To apply transition effect on the slide:

Step 1: Select the slide.

Step 2: Click on Transitions tab.

Step 3: Click the More button in Transition to This Slide group. A gallery of effects appears. There are three categories of transition effects — Subtle, Exciting and Dynamic Content.

Step 4: Choose an effect. The selected transition will be applied on the slide.

2. How can you add a video clip on your presentation?

Ans – To add a video clip the presentation:

Step 1: Select the slide and click on Insert tab.

Step 2: Select Video from the Media group.

Step 3: Click on Video on My PC option from the list. The Insert Video dialog box opens.

Step 4: Select the video.

Step 5: Click on Insert button. The video clip will be inserted in the slide.

 

3. Write steps to add picture background to the presentation?

Ans - To add picture background to the presentation:

Step 1: Select the slide to which we want to apply the background.

Step 2: Click on Design tab.

Step 3: Click on Format Background option in the Customize group. The Format Background pane opens on the right.

Step 4: Now, choose the option Picture

Step 5: Click on “Apply to All” to apply it to all the slides.

Step 6: Select Picture or texture fill option.

Step 7: To insert a picture from a file, choose File and select the picture that we want to insert.  .

4. How can we hide a slide in your presentation?

Ans - To hide a slide in the presentation:

Step 1: Click on Slide Show tab.

Step 2: Click on Hide Slide command from the Set Up group. We see a cross on its number in the Slides pane.

 

5. What is Rehearse Timings? Write steps to do so.

Ans - If we want to set up a presentation to play at a certain speed without having to click through the slides to present it, we can use Rehearse Timings command.

To rehearse timings:

Step 1: Click on Slide Show tab.

Step 2: Click on Rehearse Timings command from the Set Up group. The presentation will start on full screen. Now, rehearse your presentation.

Step 3: When you are ready to move to the next slide, click the left button. When you have reached the end of the show, a dialog box will appear with the total time of your presentation.
