Que 1 What do you understand by chart? Explain the
benefits of using chart.
Ans – A pictorial representation of numeric data is called a chart.
There are many advantages of charts.
* Charts present
data and information in an attractive manner.
* Charts are
easier to understand and analyse.
* Charts have a
more impressive and informative than a simple spreadsheet.
Que 2 What is difference between Bar and Column chart?
Ans – Column chart: A column chart displays
data in the form of vertical bars. It is used to compare values over a period
of time. In a column chart, categories are organised along the horizontal axis
and values along the vertical axis.
Bar chart:
A bar chart displays data in the form of long rectangular horizontal bars. A
bar chart illustrates comparisons among individual items. In a bar chart,
categories are represented on the vertical axis and values are represented on
the horizontal axis.
Que 3 Explain the two methods to insert a chart.
Ans - Method 1:
Select the cells and
press the F11 key. Excel automatically creates a chart for us and a new Chart
tab appears along with the Sheet tabs.
Method 2:
Step 1: Select the cells within the table.
Step 2: Click on Insert tab on the Ribbon.
Step 3: Select the type of chart from the
Charts group. For example, Column
charts type.
Step 4: Now, select the chart subtype from the drop-down list. This creates the chart
on the current worksheet.

How will you change the chart type?
Ans - The Change Chart
Type command is used to change the type of the existing chart.
Step 1: Select the chart and click on Design tab.
Step 2: Click on Change Chart Type in the Type group. The Change Chart Type dialog box appears.
